Possible Sources
- Perimeter alarm concern
- BCM concern
- GWM concern
- IPC

BU1 CHECK THE SEATBELT WARNING CHIME OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Monitor the seatbelt warning chime when the ignition switch is transitioned from OFF to RUN for 6 seconds.
Does the seatbelt warning chime operate for approximately 6 seconds?

Yes GO to BU2

No GO to Pinpoint Test BV

BU2 CHECK THE OPERATION OF THE PERIMETER ALARM
- Arm the perimeter alarm using the remote key locking feature (key fob).
- Wait approximately 15 seconds for the system to arm.
- Open the driver door using the interior door handle.
Does the perimeter alarm sound after 12 seconds?

Yes GO to BU3

No REFER to: Perimeter Anti-Theft Alarm

BU3 PERFORM THE IPC (INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER) SELF-TEST
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?

Yes REFER to DTC Chart: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) .

No GO to BU4

BU4 PERFORM THE BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) SELF-TEST
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the BCM self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?

Yes REFER to: Body Control Module (BCM)

No GO to BU5

BU5 CHECK THE GWM (GATEWAY MODULE A) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, check the GWM Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (CMDTCs).
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?

Yes REFER to: Communications Network

No INSTALL a new IPC. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) .
