Pinpoint Test BO: The Key-In-Ignition Warning Chime Is Inoperative

Possible Sources
- Door ajar indication concern
- GWM concern
- BCM concern
- IPC
- BO1 CHECK THE SEATBELT WARNING CHIME OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Unbuckle the driver seatbelt.
- Monitor the seatbelt warning chime when the ignition is transitioned from OFF to RUN for 6 seconds.
Does the seatbelt warning chime operate for approximately 6 seconds?
Yes GO to BO2 No INSTALL a new IPC. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) . - BO2 CHECK THE DOOR AJAR INDICATION
- Open the driver door.
- Observe the door ajar RTT warning indicator.
Does the door ajar RTT warning indicator turn on with the driver door ajar?
Yes GO to BO3 No GO to Pinpoint Test AO - BO3 PERFORM THE IPC (INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER) SELF-TEST
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
Yes REFER to DTC Chart: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) . No GO to BO4 - BO4 PERFORM THE BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) SELF-TEST
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the BCM self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
Yes REFER to: Body Control Module (BCM) No GO to BO5 - BO5 CHECK THE GWM (GATEWAY MODULE A) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, check the GWM Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (CMDTCs).
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
Yes REFER to: Communications Network No INSTALL a new IPC. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) .
