Spark Plug Wire: Removal
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
- Disconnect the battery. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect
- If equipped: Detach the wiring harness retainer. Remove and discard the nuts and remove the strut tower cross brace.
Torque: 41 lb.ft (55 Nm)
- Remove the engine appearance cover caps.

NOTE: The engine appearance cover rubber grommets may remain on the cover. If so, remove the grommets from the cover and install them on the intake manifold before installing the cover.
Remove the nuts and the engine appearance cover.
Torque: 35 lb.in (4 Nm)
- Use compressed air to remove any foreign material in the spark plug well before removing the spark plug wire.
- Disconnect and remove the spark plug wire.
