Luggage Compartment Lid: Removal
All vehicles
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
- Remove the luggage compartment lid emergency release handle.
- Press down the luggage compartment lid emergency release handle retaining tab.
- Remove the luggage compartment lid emergency release handle.
- Remove the luggage compartment lid latch cover.
- Insert a flat blade screwdriver between the luggage compartment lid latch cover and luggage compartment lid latch.
- Remove the luggage compartment lid latch cover while gently prying the cover away from the luggage compartment lid latch disengaging the luggage compartment lid latch cover from the tab on luggage compartment lid latch. Use the General Equipment: Flat-Bladed Screwdriver
- Remove the retainers and the luggage compartment lid trim panel.
Coupe
- Remove luggage compartment lid trim panel.
- Remove the luggage compartment lid bump stop rubbers.
- Remove the retainers and remove the luggage compartment lid trim panel.
All vehicles

NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
Remove the luggage compartment lid moulding. Refer to: Luggage Compartment Lid Moulding

NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
If equipped, remove the rear spoiler. Refer to: Rear Spoiler
- Detach the wiring harness retainers and disconnect the luggage compartment lid electrical connectors.
Convertible

- Detach the latch lock cable retainers.
- Remove the bolts and position aside the latch lock cable.
Torque
: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)
All vehicles
- On both sides, remove the strut.

NOTE: This step requires the aid of another technician.
Remove the nuts and the luggage compartment lid.
Torque
: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)
