Wastegate Control Valve Solenoid: Removal
NOTE:
The turbocharger compressor vanes can be damaged by even the smallest particles. When removing any turbocharger or engine air intake system component, ensure that no debris enters the system. Failure to do so may result in damage to the turbocharger.
Right side
- Remove the right rear tire. Refer to: Wheel and Tire .
- Remove the pin-type retainers and the front inner quarter panel liner.
- Disconnect the wastegate control valve solenoid electrical connector.
- Remove and discard the clamps, then disconnect the wastegate control valve solenoid hoses.
- Remove the wastegate control valve solenoid bolts, then remove the wastegate control valve solenoid.
Left side
- Remove the left rear tire. Refer to: Wheel and Tire .
- Remove the pin-type retainers and the front inner quarter panel liner.
- Disconnect the wastegate control valve solenoid electrical connector.
- Remove and discard the clamps, then disconnect the wastegate control valve solenoid hoses.
- Remove the wastegate control valve solenoid bolts, then remove the wastegate control valve solenoid.
