Adjustable Pedal Box: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Remove the climate control housing. Refer to: Climate Control Housing .
Remove the steering column. Refer to: Steering Column .
Remove the accelerator pedal. Refer to: Accelerator Pedal .
Remove the brake pedal. Refer to: Brake Pedal .
Remove the bolts and the accelerator pedal bracket.
Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)

Remove the screws and the stoplamp switch bracket.

Detach the adjustable pedal box strut and position the strut aside.

Detach the wiring harness retainers and position the wiring aside.

Remove the nuts and with the aid of an assistant, separate the brake booster and master cylinder from the brake pedal box and position the brake booster and master cylinder aside.
Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

Loosen the forward pedal box rail capture plate bolts.
Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)

Remove the bolts and the rearward pedal box rail capture plates.
Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)

With the aid of an assistant, remove the adjustable pedal box.
