Rear Video On Demand

Rear video on demand is an option on the police vehicle. This feature allows the rear video camera display to be turned on when the vehicle is not in reverse. The rear video on demand switch inputs to the BCM. On vehicles with the audio system display the BCM networks a message to the ACM, on vehicles without SYNC, or the APIM, on vehicles with SYNC, and then the ACM or APIM commands the display on.

On vehicles with the interior auto-dimming mirror display the BCM networks a message to the TRM and the TRM sends an input to the interior auto-dimming mirror to turn the display on. The TRM uses a dedicated circuit to the same pin in the interior auto-dimming mirror that is used by the reverse lamp input on vehicles without rear video on demand.
