Electric Vehicle (EV) Engine Off Reminder

The Electric Vehicle (EV) engine off reminder chime informs the driver the vehicle is in a ready to drive state or the ignition has been left on. If the chime sounds when the vehicle is in a ready to drive state, the ready to drive message also displays in the message center. The IPC receives the driver door ajar status, gear lever position and power pack status messages from the GWM over the HS-CAN3. The GWM receives the gear lever position and power pack status messages from the PCM over the HS-CAN1. The GWM receives the driver door ajar status message from the BCM over the HS-CAN1.

When a chime request is received, the IPC sends the IPC chime request message to the ACM or DSP (if equipped) to sound the chime.
