The PCM monitors its own supply voltage and sets a DTC if the voltage is out of range.
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition PCM P1397:00 System Voltage Out Of Self Test Range: No Sub Type Information The DTC sets if the PCM monitors the supply voltage and it is less than 11 V or greater than 18 V. Possible Sources
- Charging system voltage out of range
- AH1 CHECK FOR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the DTC for the PCM.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the PCM self-test.
