Catalytic Converter LH: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Clean all exhaust connections before reassembly.
  2. Clean and inspect the studs, replace the studs if necessary.

    Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

  3. NOTE: The studs and nuts are only finger tight in this step.

    Install the catalytic converter and bracket studs and nuts.

  4. NOTE: Make sure that new nuts are installed.

    Install the LH catalytic converter nuts.

    Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

  5. Tighten the catalyst assembly bracket studs and nuts.

    Torque: Studs: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm) Nuts: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

  6. Install the transmission cooler hose bracket nut.

    Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

  7. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
  8. Check the exhaust system for leaks.
