Muffler and Tailpipe: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
Remove the rear mufflers isolator nuts.
Torque: 26 lb.ft (35 Nm)

Loosen the exhaust clamps.
Torque: 41 lb.ft (55 Nm)

- Detach the exhaust isolators.
- Slide the muffler and tailpipe rearward out of the isolators and remove the muffler and tailpipe.
