Transmission Park Manual Release Cable: Removal

- With the vehicle in N, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Remove the transmission park manual release cable bracket bolt.
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- Disconnect the transmission park manual release cable from the transmission lever and bracket assembly.
- Remove the transmission park manual release cable grommet nuts.
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- Remove the transmission park manual release cable lever bolts.
Torque: 53 lb.in (6 Nm)
- Remove the pushpin and position the carpet aside.
- Disconnect the retainers and remove the transmission park manual release cable.
