Fuel Tank: Removal

NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation steps.
- Release the fuel system pressure. Refer to: Fuel System Pressure Release .
- Drain the fuel tank. Refer to: Fuel Tank Draining .
- Remove the drive shaft. Refer to: Rear Driveshaft .
- Remove the bolt and detach the retainer clips. Position the wiring harness aside.
Torque: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)
- Disconnect the electrical connectors.
- Remove the quick release couplings and fresh air tube from the canister. Refer to: QUICK RELEASE COUPLING - 3.0L

- Use transmission jack Use the General Equipment: Transmission Jack
- Remove the bolts and lower the fuel tank approximately 8 inches.
Torque: 35 lb.ft (47 Nm)

- Detach the retainer clip and Lower the fuel tank another 8 inches approximately, to allow access to quick release coupling above rear subframe.
- Remove the quick release couplings. Refer to: QUICK RELEASE COUPLING - 3.0L .
