Oil Pressure Control Solenoid: Removal

NOTE: The turbocharger compressor vanes can be damaged by even the smallest particles. When removing any turbocharger or engine air intake system component, ensure that no debris enters the system. Failure to do so may result in damage to the turbocharger.
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Remove the bolts and the suspension support bar.

    Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

  2. Remove the RH upper air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe RH .
  3. Disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the harness retainer and position the harness aside.

  4. Remove the RH CAC intake pipe.

    Torque: Clamps: 42 lb.in (4.8 Nm) Bolt: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)

  5. Position aside the accessory drive belt. Refer to: Accessory Drive Belt .
  6. Remove the bolts. Position aside and support the A/C. compressor.

    Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

  7. Disconnect the electrical connector. Remove oil pressure control solenoid.

    Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)
