  1. Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

The PCM monitors clutch applications. It sets a DTC if it detects a non-electrical fault that causes a clutch to fail to apply.

    DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

    DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
PCM P0751:00 Shift Solenoid "A" Performance/Stuck Off: No Sub Type Information DTC P0751 is a non-electrical failure indicating the A clutch failed to apply. When this DTC sets the failsafe logic disables all gears that use clutch A. Clutch A is used for 1st through 6th gears and only allows 7 through 10 gears.
PCM P0756:00 Shift Solenoid "B" Performance/Stuck Off: No Sub Type Information DTC P0756 is a non-electrical failure indicating the B clutch failed to apply. When this DTC sets the failsafe logic disables all gears that use clutch B. Clutch B is on in Reverse, 1st and 2nd gears with engine braking, 8th, 9th and 10th gears.
PCM P0761:00 Shift Solenoid "C" Performance/Stuck Off: No Sub Type Information DTC P0761 is a non-electrical failure indicating the C clutch failed to apply. When this DTC sets the failsafe logic disables all gears that use clutch C. Clutch C is used for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 9th and 10th gears, so it only allows 6th, 8th and R.
PCM P0766:00 Shift Solenoid "D" Performance/Stuck Off: No Sub Type Information DTC P0766 is a non-electrical failure indicating the D clutch failed to apply. When this DTC sets the failsafe logic disables all gears that use clutch D. Clutch D is used for R, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 10th gears, so it only allows 5th, 9th gears.
