Pinpoint Test M : DTC P0732

- Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The PCM monitors clutch applications for all gears. It sets a DTC if it detects ratio errors but is unable to detect which clutch caused the issue. The symptoms may be delayed gear engagements, the transmission logic disables the gear in question.
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition PCM P0732:00 Gear 2 Incorrect Ratio: No Sub Type Information The PCM detected ratio errors 4 times either in or while shifting to second gear. The ratio error did not last long enough for the PCM to isolate the fault to a specific clutch. The logic disabled second gear for the remainder of the current key cycle the fault occurred in. The DTC self clears after 40 warm up cycles have been completed without detecting the fault again. Possible Sources
- Transmission fluid contamination
- A solenoid or A clutch damaged
- B solenoid or B clutch damaged
- C solenoid or C clutch damaged
- D solenoid or D clutch damaged
- M1 CHECK FOR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the DTC for the PCM.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Road test the vehicle.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the PCM self-test.
Is DTC P0732 present in the PCM?
Yes REFER to: A Clutch . REFER to: B Clutch . REFER to: C Clutch . REFER to: D Clutch . No The fault is not present at this time and may be intermittent.
