Pinpoint Test Ai : DTC P1001

- Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The PCM only runs KOER test when the PCM confirms a the vehicle is in P or N and that there is no vehicle speed indicated.
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition PCM P1001:00 KOER Not Able to Complete, KOER Aborted: No Sub Type Information May be caused by an incomplete or incorrect PCM configuration during the PMI process. Possible Sources
- Incomplete or incorrect PMI of the PCM.
- AI1 CHECK CORRECT GEAR STATE IS ACHIEVED
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, monitor the PID, Transmission Range (TR) Sensor Position - Corrected.
- Select DRIVE.
Does the achieved gear range match the customer selected gear position?
Yes GO to AI2 No GO to Pinpoint Test C - AI2 CHECK FOR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Ignition ON.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the DTC for the PCM.
- Wait 10 seconds.
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the PCM self-test.
Does DTC P1001 return?
Yes Refer to PCM GUIDED ROUTINE TESTING
After programming the new PCM, CARRY OUT the transmission strategy download. REFER to: Transmission Strategy Download .No The fault may be intermittent.
