Network Message Chart

PAM Network Input Messages 

Broadcast Message Originating Module Message Purpose
Front parking aid enable request IPC Used to enable the front parking aid.
Gear lever position PCM Used to enable or disable the front or rear parking aid depending on the gear lever position.
Ignition key type BCM Used to disable the parking aid menus when a MyKey® is in use.
Ignition status BCM Used to communicate the ignition switch state.
Outside air temperature PCM Used to temperature compensate the parking aid sensors.
Parking aid switch request FCIM Used to enable or disable the front or rear parking aid.
Rear parking aid enable request IPC Used to enable the rear parking aid.
Trailer lamp connected TRM Used to disable the rear parking aid when a trailer is electrically connected to the vehicle.
Vehicle speed PCM Used to disable the parking aid if the vehicle speed exceeds a preset threshold.

IPC Network Input Messages 

Broadcast Message Originating Module Message Purpose
Audio system response status ACM Used to provide audio chime status feedback to the IPC.
Audio DSP Chime request DSP Used to provide chime status feedback to the IPC.
Front parking aid chime request PAM Used to command parking aid warning tones through the IPC chime arbitrator.
Parking aid audio mute request PAM Used to mute the audio system when a chime is requested.
Parking aid fault status PAM Use to indicate a parking aid fault.
Parking aid message center data PAM Used to provide parking aid information for the message center.
Parking aid rear status PAM Indicates the status of the rear parking aid.
Parking aid sensor data PAM Provides data on the parking aid sensors.
Rear parking aid chime request PAM Used to command parking aid warning tones through the IPC chime arbitrator.

FCIM Network Input Messages 

Broadcast Message Originating Module Message Purpose
Parking aid warning indicator PAM Used to turn on and off the parking aid indicator on the switch.

ACM Network Input Messages 

Broadcast Message Originating Module Message Purpose
Chime request IPC The request to turn on the parking aid chime comes in this message.
