Pinpoint Test BD: The Adaptive Cruise Control Warning Chime Is Inoperative
- BD1 CHECK THE SEATBELT WARNING CHIME OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Ignition ON.
- Unbuckle the driver seatbelt.
- Monitor the seatbelt warning chime when the ignition is transitioned from OFF to RUN for 6 seconds.
Does the seatbelt warning chime operate for approximately 6 seconds?
Yes GO to BD2 No GO to Pinpoint Test BQ - BD2 PERFORM THE IPC (INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER) SELF-TEST
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
Yes Refer to DTC Chart: IPC in this article. Refer to DTC Chart: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) . No GO to BD3 - BD3 CHECK THE GWM (GATEWAY MODULE A) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, check the GWM Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (CMDTCs).
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
Yes Refer to: Communications Network . No GO to BD4 - BD4 CHECK THE CRUISE CONTROL DISPLAY IN THE MESSAGE CENTER
- Verify the adaptive cruise control display functions in the message center when the adaptive cruise control is in operation.
Does the cruise control display operate in the message center?
Yes DIAGNOSE the cruise control system. For base cruise control, Refer to: Cruise Control . For ACC, Refer to: Cruise Control . No GO to Pinpoint Test AY
