Pinpoint Test AO: The Brake Applied - Power Reduced Message Is Always Displayed

AO1 CHECK THE MESSAGE CENTER OPERATION
- Ignition ON.
- Close all doors and the hood.
- Clear all message center warnings by pressing the OK button for each warning present.
- Monitor the door ajar RTT indicator.
- Open the driver door.
- Clear the message center popup warning.
- Monitor the door ajar RTT indicator.
Is the door ajar RTT indicator off with the door closed, and on with the door open?

Yes GO to AO2

No GO to Pinpoint Test U

AO2 CHECK THE CRUISE CONTROL OPERATION

Verify the cruise control engages and disengages.

Does the cruise control engage and disengage correctly?

Yes

GO to AO3

No	DIAGNOSE the cruise control system. For base cruise control, Refer to: Cruise Control . For adaptive cruise control, Refer to: Cruise Control - Vehicles With: Adaptive Cruise Control .

AO3 PERFORM THE IPC (INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER) SELF-TEST

Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.

Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?

Yes	Refer to DTC Chart: IPC in this article. Refer to DTC Chart: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) .

No

GO to AO4

AO4 PERFORM THE PCM (POWERTRAIN CONTROL MODULE) KOEO (KEY ON, ENGINE OFF) SELF-TEST
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the PCMKOEO self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?

Yes Refer to: Electronic Engine Controls .

No GO to AO5

AO5 CHECK THE GWM (GATEWAY MODULE A) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, check the GWM Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (CMDTCs).
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?

Yes Refer to: Communications Network .

No Refer to PCM GUIDED ROUTINE TESTING
