Brake Master Cylinder - Vehicles With: Vacuum Brake Booster: Removal

NOTE: If the fluid is spilled on the paintwork, the affected area must be immediately washed down with cold water.
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Remove the battery. Refer to: Battery
  2. Detach the brake booster tube from dash panel and position aside.

  3. NOTE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.

    If equipped. Disconnect the brake tube fittings.

    Torque: 159 lb.in (18 Nm)

    Torque: 159 lb.in (18 Nm)

  5. Disconnect the brake fluid level sensor electrical connector.

  6. Remove the nuts and the brake master cylinder.

    Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
