Pinpoint Test Ac: The Compass Is Inoperative

  1. AC1 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE APIM (SYNC MODULE) SELF-TEST

    • Ignition ON.

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the APIM self-test.

    Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded? 

    Yes  Refer to the appropriate information in INFORMATION AND ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM - GENERAL INFORMATION PART 2 the procedure.
    No  GO to  AC2

  2. AC2 RETRIEVE THE RECORDED DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE IPC (INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER) SELF-TEST

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.

    Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded? 

    Yes  REFER to DTC Chart: DTC Chart: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) .
    No  Refer to APIM GUIDED ROUTINE
