Pinpoint Test P: B115E:9A

  1. Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

    DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

    DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
    BCM B115E:9A Camera Module: Component or System Operating Conditions Sets as an on-demand DTC in the BCM when the prerequisite conditions are not met for the on-demand self-test.

    Possible Sources 

    • Liftgate ajar

  2. P1 INSPECT THE LIFTGATE TO MAKE SURE IT IS FULLY CLOSED

    • Inspect the liftgate to make sure it is fully closed.

    Is the liftgate to make sure it is fully closed? 

    Yes  GO to  P2
    No  REPAIR or ADJUST the liftgate as needed. REFER to: Liftgate Alignment

  3. P2 CHECK FOR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE BCM (BODY CONTROL MODULE) SELF-TEST

    • Ignition ON.

    • Using the diagnostic scan tool, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).

    • Wait 10 seconds.

    • Using the diagnostic scan tool, perform the BCM self-test.

    Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) other than B115E:9A retrieved? 

    Yes  DIAGNOSE any other Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) present in the BCM
    No  If a rear parking aid camera concern is still present, refer to Rear Only Parking Aid Camera  symptom chart
