Brake Vacuum Pump - 1.0L EcoBoost (92kW/125PS): Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Remove the engine appearance cover.

NOTE: Use care when disconnecting the vacuum hose from the vacuum pump or damage to the valve may occur. If the valve is broken and a new pump is not being installed, the valve can be replaced separately.

Release the clamp and disconnect the vacuum hose.
- Detach the wiring and vacuum hose retainers.
- Remove the nuts and position the vacuum control regulator aside.
  Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

- Squeeze the sides of the coupling and disconnect the vacuum tube.
- Remove the bolts and the brake vacuum pump. Discard the bolts.
  Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

Remove and discard the gasket.
