Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve: Removal

  1. Remove the wiring harness retainers and position aside the wiring harness.

  2. Remove the wiring harness retainers and position aside the wiring harness.

  3. Release the clips and position aside the coolant hoses.

  4. Disconnect the HO2S electrical connector and wiring harness retainer.

    • Disconnect the electrical connectors.

    • Detach the retainer and clip.

    1. Remove the fastener.

      Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)

    2. Remove the fastener and bracket.

      Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)

    1. Remove the EGR valve nuts.
    2. Remove the EGR valve studs.
    3. Remove the bolt.
    4. Remove the EGR valve and discard the gasket.
