Disassembly And Assembly Of Subassemblies: Countershaft: Disassembly

NOTE: Clean and inspect components for wear or damage, install a new component as necessary.

NOTE: When removing the bearing, do not over expand the bearing cage or damage to the bearing cage can occur.

Remove the counter shaft mid plate bearing.

NOTE: Support the countershaft while using the hydraulic press to prevent damage to the shaft or gears.

NOTE: Hand-tighten the Bearing Puller to prevent gear damage.

Using a hydraulic press, remove the 1st gear. Use the General Equipment: Hydraulic Press
