Fuel Pump and Sender Unit: Removal

NOTE:

- Remove the Fuel Tank. Refer to: Fuel Tank .
3-Door
- Remove the wiring harness retainer clips.
- Remove the nuts and fuel pump sender unit shield.
Torque
: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)
- Disconnect the electrical connector and quick release couplings. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling

NOTE: Note the position of the fuel pump and sender unit for installation.
Using the special tool remove the lock ring and the fuel pump and sender unit. Use Special Service Tool: 310-123 Locking Ring, Fuel Tank.

NOTE: Take extra care not to damage the fuel tank level sensor and float arm.
Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
5-Door
- Remove the nuts and fuel pump sender unit shield.
Torque
: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)
- Disconnect the electrical connector and quick release couplings. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling
