Catalytic Converter - 7-Speed Manual Transmission - MT88: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

Clean all the exhaust connections before reassembly.
NOTE: The following step is only required if the components are being replaced with new items:

Install the heated exhaust gas oxygen sensors. Install Special Service Tool: 303-476 (T94P-9472-A) Socket, Exhaust Gas Oxygen Sensor.

Torque

: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)

NOTE: Install the new studs if required.

Clean and inspect the studs.

Torque

: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

NOTE: Make sure that a new gasket is installed.

Install a new gasket.

NOTE: Make sure that new catalytic converter to turbocharger nuts are installed.

NOTE: The nuts are only finger tight at this step.

Position the catalytic converter back in the vehicle and install the nuts.

Tighten the catalytic converter to turbocharger nuts.
Torque

: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)

Tighten the catalytic converter hanger bracket nut.
Torque

: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Check the exhaust system for leaks.
