Pinpoint Test BH: The Chime Only Sounds From The IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster)

  1. Refer to Instrument Cluster for schematic and connector information.

    Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

    See Warning Chimes. Refer to Warning Chimes - System Operation and Component Description .

    Possible Sources 

    • Message center concern
    • Audio system concern
    • IPC

  2. BH1 CHECK IPC (INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)

    • Ignition ON.

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.

    Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) present? 

    Yes  Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Chart 
    No  DIAGNOSE the audio system. Refer to Information and Entertainment System .
