Brake Master Cylinder - Vehicles With: Vacuum Brake Booster: Removal

NOTE: If the fluid is spilled on the paintwork, the affected area must be immediately washed down with cold water.
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Disconnect the brake fluid level sensor electrical connector and detach the wiring harness from the brake master cylinder.

  2. NOTE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.

    Disconnect the brake tube fittings.

    Torque:

    Torque 1: 159 lb.in (18 Nm)

    Torque 2: 21 lb.ft (28 Nm)

  3. Remove the nut, retainer and position aside the brake tubes.

    Torque

    : 159 lb.in (18 Nm)

  4. Remove the nuts, brake hose bracket and brake master cylinder.

    Torque

    : 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
