Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
When pressed, the parking aid switch supplies a ground to the PAM. The switch is a normally open, momentary contact switch. The switch is disabled when a MyKey® is in use.
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions

| B1303:11 | Park Assist Switch: Circuit Short To Ground | A continuous and on-demand DTC that sets when the PAM detects that the parking aid switch signal circuit is shorted to ground or the parking aid switch has been closed for at least 10 seconds. |
Possible Sources
- MyKey® restricted key in use (normal operation)
- Wiring, terminals or connectors
- PAM (integral to the BCM)
- Parking aid switch (integral to the active park assist switch)
Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-checks
- Verify that a MyKey® restricted key is not in use
