DTC P0391 - Camshaft Position Sensor B Circuit Range/Performance (Bank 2)

DTC DESCRIPTION P0391 - CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR B CIRCUIT RANGE/PERFORMANCE (BANK 2)

Description:	This DTC sets when the CMP22 circuit has a noisy signal. For additional camshaft position (CMP) sensor location information, refer to ENGINE CONTROL COMPONENTS .
Possible Causes:	Radio frequency interference or electromagnetic interference Damaged camshaft phaser and sprocket Continuous oil flow to the VCT piston chamber Erratic camshaft position due to low oil pressure Oil flow restriction in the oil passages or the VCT valve body Damaged camshaft position bank 2 sensor 2 (CMP) shielding
Diagnostic Aids:	Harness routing, harness alterations, incorrect shielding, or electrical interference from other systems may have an intermittent impact on the CMP signal. Diagnose any base engine concerns related to the engine oil pressure or engine timing. Refer to the Engine System General Information article, Oil Pressure Test, to check the engine oil pressure. Refer to the Engine article to check the engine timing and VCT phasers.
