Brake Vacuum Pump - 2.7L EcoBoost (238kW/324PS): Removal

Remove the upper RH air cleaner outlet pipe.
Remove the retainers and the engine undershield.

Loosen the clamp and position the lower RH air cleaner outlet pipe away from the turbocharger.
Torque

: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)

Torque

: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)

Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe LH.
Loosen the clamp and position aside the CAC (charge air cooler) intake lower pipe RH.
Torque

: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)

Loosen the clamp and position aside the CAC (charge air cooler) intake lower pipe RH.
Torque

: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)

1. Disconnect the EVAP canister purge valve quick release coupling.
2. Detach the retainer and position the EVAP canister purge valve tube aside.

Detach the coolant hose from the starter motor bracket.

1. Remove the bolt.
  Torque
  
  : 71 lb.in (8 Nm)
2. Disconnect the bypass valve electrical connector and remove the CAC intake pipe RH.

Clean, inspect, and cover all open ports.
Disconnect the vacuum tubes.

Detach the wiring retainer.

Remove the bolts and the vacuum pump.

: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
