Muffler and Tailpipe: Removal

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
Disconnect the electrical connector and position aside the wiring harness.

- Remove and discard the nuts.
  Torque: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)
- Position aside the muffler and tailpipe.

Detach the exhaust isolators hangers and remove the muffler and tailpipe assembly.

- Remove and discard the gasket.
- Clean and inspect the gasket surface.

Use Special Service Tool: 303-476 (T94P-9472-A) Socket, Exhaust Gas Oxygen Sensor.
Material: Cold-Shock Rust Remover

Torque: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)
