Pinpoint Test Ai : The Compass Is Inoperative (Touchscreen Audio): Notes

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

See Compass Display. REFER to: Message Center - System Operation and Component Description .

If the compass display message is missing or invalid for 5 seconds or less, the compass displays the last vehicle direction based upon the last known good compass display message received.

If the compass display message is invalid or missing for more than 5 seconds, the IPC defaults the display to all dashes (---).
