The Visual Park Aid Alert Is Inoperative - Vehicles With Rear Only Parking Aid Camera 

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions

Possible Causes 

• Communication concern
• Rear parking aid camera concern
• PAM (integral to the BCM on vehicles without active park assist)
• BCM concern
• APIM concern

Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-Checks 

• If the rear parking aid camera is not configured after replacement, some video functions will be inoperative. Verify the rear parking aid camera configuration using the diagnostic scan tool.
