The Rear Parking Aid Camera Is Inoperative - Vehicles With Rear Only Parking Aid Camera

BCMDTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

DTC	Description	Fault Trigger Conditions
B115E:01	Camera Module: General Electrical Failure	A continuous and on-demand DTC that sets in the BCM when an internal electrical failure is detected from the camera.
B115E:02	Camera Module: General Signal Failure	A continuous and on-demand DTC that sets in the BCM when invalid LIN data is received from the video camera.
B115E:08	Camera Module: Bus Signal/Message Failure	A continuous and on-demand DTC that sets in the BCM when there is a LIN communication fault from the video camera.
B115E:49	Camera Module: Internal Electronic Failure	A continuous and on-demand DTC that sets in the BCM when an internal electronic fault is detected in the rear video camera.

IPMB DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

DTC	Description	Fault Trigger Conditions
B115E:08	Camera Module: Bus Signal/Message Failure	A continuous and on-demand DTC that sets in the IPMB when expected LIN messages are not received from the rear parking aid camera.
B115E:49	Camera Module: Internal Electronic Failure	A continuous and on-demand DTC that sets in the IPMB when an internal electronic fault is detected in the rear video camera.

APIMDTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

DTC	Description	Fault Trigger Conditions
C1001:01	Vision System Camera: General Electrical Failure	A continuous DTC that sets in the APIM when no video signal is detected from the rear camera when the vehicle is in REVERSE.

Possible Causes 

• Wiring, terminals or connectors concern
• Fuse
• Communication concern
• Rear parking aid camera concern
• TR input concern
• Infotainment display concern
• LIN concern
• BCM concern (without PTBA)
• APIM concern
• IPMB concern (with PTBA)

Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-Checks 

• Verify the liftgate is fully closed.
• If the rear parking aid camera is not configured after replacement, some video functions will be inoperative. Verify the rear parking aid camera configuration using the diagnostic scan tool.
