Pinpoint Test Cp : The Transmission Not In Park Chime Is Inoperative

  1. Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

    See Transmission Not In Park Chime. REFER to: Warning Chimes - System Operation and Component Description .

    Possible Sources 

    • PRNDL/PRNDM concern
    • IPC

  2. CP1 CHECK THE HEADLAMPS ON WARNING CHIME

    • Ignition OFF.

    • Turn the headlamps on.

    • Open the driver door.

    • Monitor the headlamps on warning chime.

    Does the headlamps on warning chime operate? 

    Yes  GO to Pinpoint Test AJ 
    No  Refer to IPC Guided Routine Testing .
