Pinpoint Test I : B1111:53

  1. DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 
    DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
    ABS B1111:53 Electric Park Brake Enable: Deactivated This DTC sets when both parking brake actuators do not reset when exiting the Maintenance Mode routine. This is most likely caused by an interrupted Maintenance Mode routine.

    Possible Sources 

    • ABS module.
    • The EPB Apply and Release routine was not carried out.

  2. I1 CARRY OUT THE EPB APPLY AND RELEASE ROUTINE

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the EPB Apply and Release routine.

    • Ignition OFF.

    • Ignition ON.

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the ABS DTC.

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the ABS self-test.

    Is DTC B1111:53 set? 

    Yes  Exit Maintenance mode. REFER to: Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) Service Mode Activation and Deactivation .
    No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The EPB Apply and Release routine cleared the DTC.
