Front Bumper: Removal

All vehicles 

1. Remove the front bumper cover. Refer to: Front Bumper Cover  .
2. Remove the CCM. Refer to: Cruise Control Module (CCM) .
3. Disconnect the hood latch electrical connector, separate the wiring harness retainers and position the wiring harness aside.

4. Release the tabs and remove the front bumper energy absorber.

   Vehicles equipped with active grille shutter 

5. Remove the active grille shutter assembly. Refer to: Active Grille Shutter .

   Vehicles not equipped with active grille shutters 

6. Remove the grille opening panel bolts.

   Torque: 1.: 42 lb.in (4.8 Nm) | 2.: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

7. Release the clips and remove the grille opening panel.

8. Remove the lower washer reservoir bolt.

   Torque: 28 lb.in (3.2 Nm)

9. Support the lower radiator support.
10. Remove the bolts from the lower radiator support.

    Torque: 18 lb.ft (24 Nm)

11. Lower the lower radiator support for clearance to the front bumper.
12. Remove the front bumper nuts.

    Torque: 17 lb.ft (22.5 Nm)

13. Remove the front bumper adjuster assemblies.
    1. Remove the front bumper adjuster bolts.

       Torque: 177 lb.in (20 Nm)

    2. Remove the front bumper adjusters.

14. With the help of an assistant. Remove the front bumper.
