Turbocharger Oil Supply Tube - RH: Removal

NOTE: Whenever turbocharger air intake system components are removed, always cover open ports to protect from debris. It is important that no foreign material enter the system. The turbocharger compressor vanes are susceptible to damage from even small particles. All components should be inspected and cleaned, if necessary, prior to installation or reassembly.
NOTE: During the removal or installation of components, cap, tape or otherwise appropriately protect all openings and tubes/fittings to prevent the ingress of dirt or other contamination. Remove caps, tape and other protective materials prior to installation.
  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to Jacking And Lifting
  2. Remove the oil filler cap and then remove the engine appearance cover. Install the oil filler cap.

  3. Detach the brake booster vacuum hose retainers from the strut tower brace.

  4. Remove the strut tower brace nuts and then remove the strut tower brace.

    • Disconnect the turbocharger bypass valve electrical connector and the turbocharger bypass valve hose.

    • Disconnect the turbocharger wastegate regulating valve hose from the RH Charge Air Cooler(CAC) tube.

    • Remove the RH CAC tube nut.

    • Disconnect the RH turbocharger bypass valve electrical connector.

    • Disconnect the RH turbocharger bypass valve hose.

    • Loosen the clamps and remove the RH CAC tube.

  5. Detach the Heated Oxygen Sensor(HO2S) electrical connector and position out of the way. Remove the HO2S connector bracket nut and then remove the HO2S connector bracket.

  6. Remove the turbocharger oil supply tube secondary latch.

  7. Using a Spring Lock Coupling Disconnect Tool, remove the RH turbocharger oil supply tube from the quick connect fitting. Refer to Fuel System - General Information

  8. Remove the RH engine lifting eye and the RH engine lifting eye bolts.

  9. Remove the Right Front(RF) tire. Refer to Wheels and Tires
  10. Remove the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts and then remove the exhaust manifold heat shield.

  11. Remove and discard the turbocharger oil supply tube bolt, then remove the turbocharger oil supply tube.

  12. Remove and discard the turbocharger oil supply tube linked sealing washer and the turbocharger oil supply tube filter.
