Turbocharger Coolant Supply Tube - LH: Removal

NOTE: Whenever turbocharger air intake system components are removed, always cover open ports to protect from debris. It is important that no foreign material enter the system. The turbocharger compressor vanes are susceptible to damage from even small particles. All components should be inspected and cleaned, if necessary, prior to installation or reassembly.
NOTE: During the removal or installation of components, cap, tape or otherwise appropriately protect all openings and tubes/fittings to prevent the ingress of dirt or other contamination. Remove caps, tape and other protective materials prior to installation.
  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to Jacking And Lifting .
  2. Remove the oil filler cap and then remove the engine appearance cover. Install the oil filler cap.

  3. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Engine Cooling .
  4. If equipped. Remove the underbody shield retainers and then remove the underbody shield.

  5. Remove the air cleaner assembly and the air cleaner outlet tube. Refer to Intake Air Distribution and Filtering .
    • Disconnect the vacuum hoses.

    • Release the clamp and disconnect the turbocharger bypass hose.

    • Loosen the turbocharger inlet tube clamps and then remove the turbocharger inlet tube.

    1. Disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose. Refer to Fuel System - General Information .

  6. Release the clamp, disconnect the coolant hose and position out of the way.

  7. Detach the wiring harness retainers.

  8. Detach the turbocharger wastegate control hose retainers.

  9. Remove the coolant tube bracket retaining nut.

  10. Remove and discard the turbocharger coolant tube bolts, then position the turbocharger coolant tubes out of the way.

  11. Remove and discard the turbocharger coolant tube linked sealing washers.

  12. Release the clamps and disconnect the turbocharger coolant hoses.

    1. Remove the turbocharger coolant return tube.
    2. Remove the turbocharger coolant supply tube.
