Rear Seat Backrest: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

NOTE: The 40 percent backrest must be removed to allow removal of the 60 percent backrest.

Remove the rear seat cushion. Refer to: Rear Seat Cushion .
Police vehicle
On both rear seats. Remove the rear seat latch release screw.

All backrests
1. Lift the rear seat latch release handle.
2. Lower the rear seat backrest.

If equipped with heated seats. Disconnect the heated seat electrical connector.

1. Lower the backrest.
2. Rotate the backrest hinge locking arm rearward and release the backrest.
3. Remove the 40 percent seat backrest.

60 percent backrest
If equipped with conventional seatbelts. Remove the bolt and position the rear center seatbelt aside.
Torque: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)

If equipped with inflatable seatbelts. Remove the bolt and position the rear center seatbelt aside.
Torque: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)
