Door Ajar Warning Chime

The door ajar warning chime warns that a door or the liftgate is not fully closed. The IPC receives the driver door, passenger door, driver rear door, passenger rear door ajar and liftgate ajar status from the BCM over the MS-CAN. When a door or liftgate becomes ajar while the ignition is in RUN, the IPC illuminates the door ajar warning indicator, the message center displays the appropriate door ajar warning message and the IPC sounds a repetitive chime until the door or liftgate is closed.
