Brake Master Cylinder: Removal

NOTE: If the fluid is spilled on the paintwork, the affected area must be immediately washed down with cold water.

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Remove the battery tray. Refer to: Battery Tray .
Using a suitable suction device, remove the brake fluid from the remote reservoir.

Release the coupling and disconnect the remote reservoir tube from the brake fluid reservoir.

NOTE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.

Disconnect the brake fluid level sensor electrical connector and the brake tube fittings.

Torque

: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

Remove the nuts and the brake master cylinder.
Torque
