Door Ajar Warning Chime

The door ajar warning chime warns that a door is ajar. The IPC receives the driver door, passenger door, driver rear door, passenger rear door ajar, liftgate/luggage compartment and hood ajar status from the BCM. When a door, liftgate/luggage compartment or hood becomes ajar while the ignition is in RUN with vehicle speed greater than 3 km/h (1.9 mph), the IPC turns on the appropriate door ajar warning message and sounds a repetitive chime through the front speakers until the door, liftgate/luggage compartment or hood is closed.

When a chime request is received, the IPC sends the IPC chime request message to the ACM (without Sony audio system) and audio DSP (with Sony audio system) to sound the chime.
