Starter Motor: Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

1. Install the small starter motor solenoid wire connector nut.
  Torque: 53 lb.in (6 Nm)
2. Install the large starter motor solenoid wire connector nut.
  Torque: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)

Close the starter motor cable cover.

1. Install the ground cable to the lower stater motor mounting studbolt.
2. Install the starter motor and the studbolts. Tighten the studbolts.
  Torque: 26 lb.ft (35 Nm)

Attach the wire harness retainer to the lower stater motor mounting studbolt.

Connect the battery. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect - Vehicles With: Dual Batteries .
