Oil Pan: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  2. Remove the oil level indicator.

  3. Remove the CAC. Refer to: Charge Air Cooler (CAC) .
  4. Drain the engine oil.

    Torque: 29 lb.ft (39 Nm)

  5. Remove and discard the oil filter.

  6. Disconnect the oil level sensor electrical connector.

  7. Remove the oil level sensor.

  8. Remove the nuts and bolts. Remove and discard the oil pan.

  9. Clean and prepare the RTV sealing surface. Refer to: RTV Sealing Surface Cleaning and Preparation .
