Disassembly And Assembly Of Subassemblies: Piston: Assembly

NOTE: Align the piston-to-connnecting rod orientation marks made during disassembly.

Align the front of the piston and connecting rod. Assembly the piston and the connecting rod.

Lubricate with clean engine oil and install the piston pin.
Material: Motorcraft® SAE 10W-30 Super Duty Diesel Motor Oil / XO-10W30-QSDF (WSS-M2C171-F1)

Install the piston pin retainers.

NOTE: The rings are to be fitted with the paint mark to the left of the piston ring gap.

NOTE: The upper and lower compression ring gaps are the be installed 180 degrees apart.

NOTE: The oil control ring position is not controlled.

Lubricate with clean engine oil and install the piston rings.
