Cooling Module: Removal

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
Recover the refrigerant. Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) System Recovery, Evacuation and Charging .
Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
Remove and discard the lower load path bar retainers and remove the lower load path bars.
Torque: 1: 41 lb.ft (55 Nm) 2: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

Remove the bolt and position the transmission cooler hose bracket aside.
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

Remove the push pins and position the A/C lines aside.

Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the A/C lines from the condenser. A crowsfoot wrench may be needed to access the lower A/C line nut.
Torque: 1: 71 lb.in (8 Nm) 2: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)

Disconnect the lower radiator hose.

Disconnect the cooling fan motor and shroud electrical connectors.

Disconnect the transmission cooler hose.

Remove the bolt and position the transmission cooler upward to release it from the lower retainer
Torque: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)

Remove the coolant hose connection from the cooling fan shroud.

Remove the degas bottle coolant tube and unclip it from the cooling fan shroud.

Disconnect the upper radiator hose.

1. Remove the bolts
  Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
2. Position the air deflector from under the A/C condenser prior to lowering the cooling module.
  Torque: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)
